Imagine a room with a dozen dynamic young founders, pitching one after the other and scoring each other fast. It doesn’t look like any other pitch room you’ve seen—the energy, the opportunity, and the creativity are incredible. This is Startup Runway, the first pitch series for women and minority-led startups in the Southeast.
Connect with top investors
Led by a volunteer leadership team that includes Valor, Ryan Wilson co founder at The Gathering Spot, entrepreneur and attorney Tiffany McKenzie, and executive director of the City of Atlanta’s Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative Theia Washington, Startup Runway helps startups learn what investors are looking for so they make critical connections to professional capital, like ffvc from New York, Seraph based in San Francisco, Village Capital, and of course, Valor Ventures. (See the full list of investors at Startup Runway.) Professional investors are attending from Chicago, Atlanta, Madison, New York and San Francisco and more.
The deadline to pitch at Startup Runway is September 30.
If you know a minority-led tech startup with serious early traction, please make sure they find out about the opportunity. The last group of startups will go through our private, peer-to-peer coaching format and be scored on October 3. Then, the top 10% of minority led startups—based on their scores—will be invited to the main stage November 3 to pitch in front of top investors.
